So I've been sick since Wedensday. It probably would have only lasted a day, but rather than being smart and sleeping, I've been out and about. Not that I could really help it. After all, I had school all day on Thursday. There was no way I was missing four classes because I was feeling under the weather. So I went. I'm still coughing and my throat's still sore, but hopefully I'll feel better after today.

In other news, my older brother's coming home for his spring break tonight. Which is awesome. I love that big lug. I can't say I cry when he's gone, as I've become used to him not being here... well, and I think in a way I've made my new friends here into a replacement...

Eh. I'll write more later. Dad says staring at a computer screen is a bad way to get better.

Welcome to 2006. I can't even say what I want to do this year or what will happen... but I look forward to it with the eagerness of a momentary naivety that will surely have disappeared come this afternoon, when I recall that there is nothing special about today and nothing special about this year. That it will just be another one like the rest. Full of disappointment, rejection, love, desire, anger, frustration, stress, relaxation, amusement, tears, laughter, and all the rest.

So cheers - and I raise my Code Red Mountain Dew in tribute - to a new year. And to all of the limitless challenges that will present themselves. Whatever may come, I'm going to meet it with a grin on my face. I also salute that which I did in '05. Dating for the first time, moving to California, becoming a bit more assertive, starting community college classes... and losing all sense of what I want to do for a living. Here's hoping I figure that out, at least, before the end of '06.

I may disappear for a couple of weeks due to the fact that my dad messed with my laptop - supposedly to make it run better - and now the internet won't work. Plus, I have finals next week... but I'm not too too worried about that. Really, the only reason I may be (even more) scarce (than usual) is due to my internet screwing up. My dad says he'll fix it tonight and if he does, I'll be back in business, but if he doesn't... then, obviously, we might have some problems. I'll do what I can, though.

I'm slow. I suck. I really should just quit. I would if I thought I didn't like it anymore, really I would. But I love my characters and the places I'm at. I'm just having a rough time, between having too much time and too little. When I have nothing to do, I grow idle. Lazy. I need a job. Which I will be going after once I get my GED-type-thinger. And I am trying to write more.

But I'm sick and tired of people getting pissed at me because I'm slow. Let me remind: I warned you I would be slow before I said I would thread with you, so please don't bitch at me about it. Kthx.
